Your feedback is shaping JingleMaker. Here’s what we’ve added and improved so far — and a place to tell us what you’d like next.

Beta runs until 1 December 2026. Bugs are expected while we test. Earlier changes are grouped by release theme rather than assigned unverified release dates.

Latest improvements

Dropbox: your audio, your folders

Connected Dropbox to JingleMaker — link your account once on your profile and it's ready everywhere in the studio.
Import MP3 or WAV files from anywhere in your Dropbox straight into Your takes, with a folder browser and breadcrumbs so you can find them fast.
Save finished WAV exports to any Dropbox folder, and back up your drafts alongside them.
Set a default Dropbox folder on your profile so imports and saves always open in the right place, and create new folders on the fly while you save.
Included on paid plans from 1 December 2026 — free to try for everyone during the beta.

Your takes, a proper voice editor & calmer playback

Introduced Your takes: every recording, upload or text-to-speech result lands there first, so you can preview it before deciding where it goes.
Load any take into the voice editor to trim, cut and add imaging effects, then press Save to update the take in Your takes — nothing joins the multitrack until you choose Voice 1 or an extra voice lane.
Takes stay in Your takes while you edit them, clearly marked In the editor, and deleting your final take asks first and then clears the takes list, the multitrack and the editor together.
Added a live VU meter under the voice track with dB markings and a peak marker, so you can watch your levels as you play or preview an effect.
Simplified the voice editor: click-and-drag across the waveform to highlight a range, then use Trim to selection — no more drag bars. A single click just moves the playhead.
The voice track now stays pinned at the top of the screen while you scroll down to the effects and imaging presets.
The space bar now plays whichever area you last clicked — the voice editor or the multitrack — and starting one always stops the other, so they can no longer play at the same time.
Re-voicing a take with ElevenLabs now gives you a preview first, with choices to use it in the editor, save it as a new take or discard it — your original take is never overwritten.
Removed the SFX insert-point strip from the voice editor; sound effects are placed by dragging them in the multitrack.
Fixed the space bar only playing the first second, edits not updating the waveform after a crop, and effects landing on a hidden one-second selection.

More multitrack lanes & a fresher home page

Added up to three extra multitrack lanes: press Add lane and choose Voice, Bed or Sound FX. Each new lane has its own + button (record, upload, text to speech, generate SFX, browse library) and accepts library drag-and-drop, and a × to remove it.
Extra lanes are saved with your drafts and play in the preview and the exported mix, so you can layer a second voice, a second bed or extra sound effects.
Added a Fresh this week section to the home page: your six newest library items as playable cards with waveforms, BPM, duration and the date they were added.
Home page previews only play a 3-second teaser clip with a gentle fade-out — the full audio stays locked, so nothing can be downloaded or stolen.
New uploads appear on the home page automatically within about a minute, and the feed re-checks every minute.
Library play buttons are now always visible, not just on hover, so it's obvious how to audition an item.
Fixed the feedback and feature-request forms again by restoring the missing database permissions — submissions now save reliably.
Refreshed the home page headline to lead with the payoff: record, upload or generate your voice, drop it over a bed, add sound effects and mix down a finished jingle in minutes.

AI sound effects, a guided tour & a tidier studio

Added Generate SFX: describe the sound you want and ElevenLabs creates it, dropped straight into the Sound FX lane at the play position (up to 22 seconds).
Added five example prompts inside the sound effect generator — tap one to fill the description, then reword it to suit your show.
The Generate SFX option is always visible; if ElevenLabs isn't connected it explains how to add your API key on your profile.
ElevenLabs now powers three things in the studio: text to speech, re-voicing a recorded take, and AI sound effects — all with your own key.
Added a guided Studio tour with arrows and short explanations of each area; it opens once after you sign in and can be restarted any time.
Rebuilt the mixing controls into a compact floating Mix toolbar: voice level, bed level and ducking set to Light, Normal or Heavy.
Clip waveforms now grow and shrink as you change their volume, so you can see the balance as well as hear it.
Bed fades are now handles you drag on the bed itself, and looping is a button on the bed lane.
Voice, Bed and Sound FX lanes now share a single + button with Record, Upload, Text to speech, Generate SFX and Browse library options — slimmer lanes, less clutter.
Added Match levels so every voice clip in the lane plays at the same loudness.
Added Select to crop in the multitrack: highlight part of a clip, press Delete to cut it, or Crop to keep just that section.
Removed the cramped per-clip transport — the main multitrack controls now play a highlighted selection, with Play all alongside.
Fixed beds cutting short under a voice clip, beds replaying unexpectedly, sound effects snapping back when dragged, and clips not playing on the first press.
Fixed the feedback form, which had been silently failing to save messages.
Updated launch plans: Free (with a free account) and Individual at £14.99/month, free for Radio Essentials subscribers on a £14.99+ plan.
Signing in is now required to use the studio; signed-out visitors can still look around and browse a faded preview of the library.
Added library search plus an info button on every item showing the full description, BPM, key, mood, energy and tags.
Fresh imaging is now added to the library daily.

Launch pricing & terms

Replaced the launch plans with five tiers: Free Studio (£0), Creator (£14.99/month, bring your own ElevenLabs key), Creator AI (£24.99/month, Most Popular), Station AI (£59/month) and Network AI (£149/month).
Creator AI, Station AI and Network AI include managed AI — text to speech, Voice Changer and AI sound effects with no personal key required — with monthly AI unit allowances and examples.
Creator remains free for Radio Essentials subscribers on a £14.99+ plan; paid plans fully launch on 1 December 2026 and may evolve as the service grows.
Added a plan comparison table and pricing FAQ covering productions, AI units, personal API keys, failed generations, library licensing and upgrades — all plans are cancel anytime.
Added a Terms & Conditions page covering plans, finished productions, AI units, ElevenLabs keys, library licensing and fair use.

Your account, feedback & launch plans

Added saved projects: name your work, save it as a draft, and reopen it later — up to 10 projects per account, with auto-saving once a project has been saved.
Raised the editor limit from 5 to 10 minutes per project.
Rebuilt the media library: new categories (Beds, Ramps, Stagers, Stings, SFX, Transitions, Pads, Loops, Vocal FX), filters for style, mood, use, duration, BPM, key, energy, ending, loopable and vocals, plus New this month, Most popular and Staff picks collections.
Library cards now show a waveform, mood, BPM and labels, with preview, favourite and add-to-project buttons.
Admins can add categories, subcategories and filter options without a code change, and must complete the full asset details before publishing.
Added My library: save any bed or sound effect with the heart icon and filter the library to just your saved picks.
Added an admin-managed home page ticker for beta news, daily fixes and new library additions.
Added account deletion from My Profile, with confirmation safeguards.
Added an admin feedback inbox so the team can review your messages.
Introduced mobile navigation and clearer links to the guide, roadmap and feedback.
Renamed signed-in access to Full beta access and published intended Free, Creator, Station, Network and Custom launch plans.

A more flexible multitrack studio

Brought voice, beds and sound effects together in a draggable tracker, with multiple clips in each lane.
Fixed beds so a second bed plays exactly where you drag it, instead of looping under the first bed.
Added lane shortcuts for recording, uploading, text to speech and browsing the library.
Added pop-up bed and SFX browsers with previews and Add controls.
Improved clip dragging, kept clip widths stable when moving, and bounded timeline zoom with a fit-to-view option.
Updated waveform rendering, added colour-linked SFX markers and made the red playback cue draggable.

Playback, levels & mixdown

Separated solo track playback from Full mix playback, with independent play controls and playhead positions.
Improved playback timing so voice, beds and SFX are scheduled together from the selected cue.
Added bottom multitrack transport controls, live level metering and timeline zoom.
Restored the pinned library preview player and added clip preview controls.
Added WAV and MP3 mixdown with optional normalisation and editable export filenames.

Voice editing & presenter effects

Added selection-based effects with audition, Apply, Discard, bypass and undo/redo.
Introduced reverb, echo, flanger, chorus, phaser, pitch/formant, distortion, sweep, stutter, reverse, glitch, widening, fades, normalise and silence tools.
Kept the effects area open and introduced colourful presenter-style effect pads.
Added crop-out selection, Delete-key editing and insert silence with a chosen duration.
Improved waveform selection, separated it from SFX placement and mirrored voice edits in the tracker.
Aligned voice and tracker styling and standardised editor buttons for smaller screens.

Added MP3/WAV uploads and microphone recording with a live waveform, timer and level meters.
Added choices to start again, add another recording or discard when a voice already exists.

The beta foundations

Launched the browser-based JingleMaker editor from Radio Essentials with separate voice and bed levels, trimming and audio export.
Added free sessions with your own audio and no email gate; signed-in beta accounts can access the hosted library.
Set a 10 MB upload limit and a five-minute editor limit.
Added the full User Guide, Feedback page and a public roadmap for future improvements.
Improved mobile layouts, added unsaved-session warnings and keyboard playback/undo controls.
Updated product SEO, privacy links and branding, and strengthened account permissions and dependency security.
