Build a radio jingle from start to finish

JingleMaker is currently a BETA service from radioessentials.com, running until 1 December 2026. The full launch will include a free version and a subscription version that adds hosted beds, sound effects and new monthly bed drops.

Quick workflow

  1. 1. Create your voice track

    Upload an MP3 or WAV up to 10 MB and 10 minutes, record with live level meters, or generate speech from a script using ElevenLabs. Everything lands in Your takes first, so you can preview it before using it.

  2. 2. Add a bed

    Free sessions can upload their own bed. Signed-in users can browse the hosted bed library by category, label and length.

  3. 3. Place sound effects

    Preview whooshes, impacts, risers and other SFX, then add them at the play position — or use Generate SFX to create a brand new one with ElevenLabs.

  4. 4. Edit and balance

    Load a take into the voice editor to trim, crop and add imaging effects, then save it back to Your takes. Add it to the multitrack when you're happy, then balance volumes, fades and ducking.

  5. 5. Mix down

    Preview the finished jingle, then save a WAV or MP3. You can normalise the final mix or export it exactly as it sounds.

Getting started

  • A free account is needed to use the studio — signing up takes a minute.
  • Signed-out visitors can look around the studio and see a preview of the library.
  • Every recording, upload or text-to-speech result lands in Your takes first — preview it, load it into the voice editor, or add it to the multitrack.
  • Uploaded files are limited to 10 MB and projects to 10 minutes.
  • Take the guided Studio tour for a walk-through of every area; restart it any time with the Studio tour button.
  • The space bar plays whichever area you last clicked — the voice editor or the multitrack — and one always stops the other.

Your library and saved projects

  • Browse the hosted library of beds, ramps, stagers, stings, SFX, transitions, pads, loops and vocal FX.
  • Search by name, mood or tag, filter by style, length, BPM, key and energy, and tap the info button for full details.
  • Tap the heart to save an item to My library, then switch the library to My library to see just your picks.
  • Save up to 10 named projects as drafts and reopen them later; auto-save runs every five minutes and can be switched off.
  • Fresh imaging is added to the library every day.

Library and subscriptions

  • The full JingleMaker launch is planned for 1 December 2026.
  • The launch will include a free version and a subscription version.
  • The subscription version will include the hosted bed and SFX library.
  • New beds are planned to be added monthly after launch.
  • Library items are labelled by category, description and length so presenters can find the right sound quickly.

Working in the multitrack

Every lane — Voice, Bed and Sound FX — has a + button with the ways to add to it: record, upload audio, text to speech, generate a sound effect or browse the library. Drag any clip along the timeline to move it, and stack as many clips in a lane as you need.

Turn on Select to crop, drag across a clip's waveform to highlight part of it, then press Delete to cut that section out or Crop to keep just it. The main transport plays a highlighted selection, and Play all plays the whole mix.

The Mix button opens a floating toolbar with voice level, bed level and ducking (Light, Normal or Heavy) so the bed drops under your voice. Bed fades are handles you drag on the bed itself, and looping is a button on the bed lane. Waveforms grow and shrink as you change a clip's volume, and Match levels evens out every voice clip.

Voice editing and ElevenLabs

Open a take with Load into editor. Drag across the waveform to highlight a range — or leave nothing highlighted to affect the whole take — choose an imaging effect, preview it, then apply or discard it. Use Trim to selection to keep just the highlighted part, insert silence, and undo or redo while editing. The voice track stays pinned at the top while you scroll the effects, with a live VU meter under it.

Press Save to put the edited version back into Your takes, then add it to Voice 1 or an extra voice lane when you're happy — nothing joins the multitrack until you ask it to.

Add an ElevenLabs API key on your profile and three tools unlock: text to speech to turn a script into a voice track, re-voicing to re-perform a recorded take in another voice, and Generate SFX to create a brand new sound effect from a description.

Re-voicing always gives you a preview first: listen, then choose Use in editor, Save as new take or Discard — your original take is never overwritten.

Generate SFX lives in the Sound FX + menu. Describe the sound, set a length up to 22 seconds, and it lands in the Sound FX lane at the play position. Five example prompts are built in — tap one and reword it to suit your show:

  • Radio sweep: “A fast synthetic radio sweep rising in pitch and ending on a bright impact, clean and modern”
  • Riser into drop: “An eight-beat tension riser with white noise building into a punchy sub-bass drop”
  • Station ident stab: “A short, bold orchestral brass stab with a tight reverb tail, confident news-station energy”
  • Whoosh transition: “A smooth stereo whoosh passing left to right, airy and wide, perfect between two voice lines”
  • Playful button: “A cheeky cartoon boing followed by a tiny sparkle chime, light-hearted breakfast-show humour”

Launch and beyond

On 1 December 2026, JingleMaker is planned to move from beta into full launch. The free version will remain available for presenters who want to record or upload a voice track, use their own bed and export a finished jingle. The subscription version will unlock the growing hosted library of beds and sound effects, with new beds added monthly. We are also exploring saved projects, favourites and cloud imports such as Dropbox while keeping the studio quick and straightforward.
